Activated Charcoal Soap

Homemade natural soaps are often better than most store-bought varieties because they retain glycerin, a natural byproduct of saponification that acts as a powerful humectant, helping the skin stay hydrated and soft.

Most store-bought soaps do not have their naturally occuring glycerin because during the industrial soap-making process, manufacturers remove the natural glycerin produced during saponification. This glycerin is often extracted and sold separately for use in lotions and high-end skincare products, since it’s a valuable humectant. As a result, commercial soaps are left with synthetic detergents and fillers, which create more lather but can strip the skin’s natural moisture barrier, leading to dryness or irritation.

Our soaps are made with plant-based oils, butters, and essential oils instead of synthetic detergents or harsh sulfates, which can strip the skin’s natural oils. Additionally, they are free from artificial fragrances, preservatives, and fillers, making them way gentler, and better suited for sensitive skin and the environment.

This soap leaves the skin feeling softer and more hydrated than most hard soaps. Many hard soaps—even “all-natural” ones—tend to leave skin with a tight, “squeaky clean” feeling. This soap cleans thoroughly but leaves the skin feeling noticeably softer and less “squeaky” than expected. This is due to the activated charcoal, which works in a way similar to a gentle, soft clay.

Shea butter (Vitellaria paradoxa Butter), coconut coconut oil (Cocos nucifera Oil), sunflower seed oil (Helianthus annuus Seed Oil), castor oil (Ricinus communis Seed Oil), jojoba oil (Simmondsia chinensis Seed Oil), apricot oil (Prunus armeniaca Kernel Oil), jojoba wax (Simmondsia chinensis Seed Wax), activated charcoal (Charcoal Powder), lemongrass essential oil (Cymbopogon citratus Oil), lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia Oil), thyme essential oil (Thymus vulgaris Oil), water (Aqua), and sodium hydroxide (Sodium Hydroxide).
