SIMPLE, NATURAL
AND POTENT
SKINCARE
Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. Skin is designed to be self-sufficient. It has its own barrier, microbiome, and natural oils that help maintain balance. That very balance can easily be disrupted by overloading the skin with too many products (especially harsh exfoliants, preservatives, and emulsifiers), leading to the very issues we are are trying to fix. The modern sKiNcArE industry really gets hard on the idea that more is better— complicated 10-step routines, over-hyped proprietary formulations, and an ever-growing list of “must-have” ingredients.
Historically, skincare was much simpler—people relied on whole, plant-based ingredients like oils, butters, and herbal infusions. They focused on nourishment and protection rather than constant stripping and resurfacing. At Liturgy, we make products for people who want fewer products (if that makes any sense). We carefully select the finest, most potent, time-tested, safe, and pronounceable ingredients and all our stuff is free from chemicals, preservatives, and other shady s#t.

A NOTE FROM
OUR FOUNDER
I started making skincare & home supplies (and other things me and my husband regularly bought) when I moved to Slovenia from NYC. Not long into researching, I was stunned by how many harmful ingredients we put on our skin everyday via skincare products. I began to realize that “care” was not the goal of the skincare industry, but “addiction” to as many products as possible. Once our skin begins to rely on these products, it loses its ability to take care of itself, and becomes prone to damage and breakouts. But the truth is, skin doesn’t need much. Men have instinctively figured this out—swearing by that one “grandma all-purpose cream” and “a towel they found outside,” hehe.
Jokes aside, what works has always worked: nutrient-rich and time-tested botanicals that support the skin’s natural functions. Fewer ingredients, more effect.
My goal is to provide useful, luxurious goods for our bodies and living spaces that are made from ingredients we can feel comfortable about using, while trying to create as little waste as possible. And, to make soul warming products that make this whole “being alive thing” just a liiittle bit better!
xoxo,
Lucy Rose Albert
